Smart Sensors Limited has developed and patented new, high performance algorithms for iris feature extraction, biometric key creation and matching. These techniques offer an extremely strong alternative to those underlying almost all the current commercial iris biometric offerings.

Launched at Biometrics 2004, Smart Sensors offers a new dimension in commercial opportunities for the use of iris biometrics in identity checking and management applications, with the potential to satisfy both the stringent performance and economic requirements of projects such as ID Cards and e-Passports that must operate on an international scale.

Smart Sensors is UK based, and now seeks licensees, investors and other technical and commercial partners with whom it can work to package the new algorithms with standard iris image capture hardware, and integrated biometric systems.
