TARGET PRODUCTS and PLATFORMS
The standard MIRLIN SDK
has been compiled for Windows XP and Windows 2003 Server
applications. It can be specified for .NET 2003, 2005 or 2008 development
environments. There is a simple but flexible API which permits
developers to access a range of diagnostics, that can later be omitted
for improved speed in the release version of the application.
On a typical PC with
2.0 GHz Core-duo processor, and 1GB DDR RAM, a typical application can
achieve template creation in excess of 15 image frames per second.
Match speeds are around 450k per second for single template matches.
For Windows CE and LINUX
devices and embedded systems, we will create an application DLL for
your target device that mirrors the standard API available in the PC
version. Your developers can then make simple function calls to build
your end-user iris recognition application.
Typically, image
segmentation and template creation takes < 1s, with match speeds ~
10k/s. This is very much dependent on target CPU, clock and memory.
A specific
implementation is now available on TI
OMAP processor boards, such as Gumstix, Beagle Board and Real Time
Control ICE-TEK board – offering a variety of interface possibilities
such as USB, Ethernet/IP and Wiegand control.
We now have Eclipse Code for
LINUX and other systems. Please call us
for advice about producing software tools for your specific targets.
